Career success stories - Ashling Arfaoui

Ashling Arfaoui joined KFH in October 2020. In three short years, she has gained her ARLA qualification and been promoted three times. Her journey has seen her develop and grow, and below she reflects on the support she has received along the way.
I joined KFH in October 2020 as a property manager after working in the industry across various roles for the previous three years. I was pretty certain at this point that property management was where I wanted to build my career. What I love about property management is that no matter how long you do it, you will always continue to learn new things!
I gained my ARLA qualification after 10 months at KFH, and so progressed onto senior property manager. Four short months after that, I was promoted again to senior team leader with a team of seven property managers. This role meant I could teach and guide other property managers who had varying levels of experience. I learnt a great deal about how to manage people whilst in that role, and although managing people is not always easy, it is very rewarding when you get it right. To help me ‘get it right’, I had the support and guidance of my own managers and also got my nose into some books to help learn what skills were required.
After being a senior team leader for 18 months, I was presented with a KFH Way Award at KFH’s annual awards celebration in January 2023. This was a surprise but very welcomed; who doesn’t like to be recognised for their hard work?!
Earlier this year, I was fortunate enough to be promoted again to assistant operations manager. I now oversee our south east region within the Property Management department. I have found a real passion for influencing the business to continuously improve the service for our clients, but also for making sure my teams and colleagues have the best working environment possible. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my seniors who have helped me grow into the role I am in now, and also my teams, who continue to support me in making us successful!
Finally, something I have really enjoyed at KFH is the networking. I love collaborating with other departments, whether it be about work or just catching up! It’s great that everyone is so friendly and willing to help their colleagues.
I’m very much looking forward to building my career further with KFH.
