During this unprecedented time, leading London property services group, Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH), is focusing on what is most important: people.

Lee Watts, KFH Managing Director said “These are extraordinary times but, in our 43 year history, we have weathered many storms and have come out on top. We have done this by focusing on our people, our clients and our customers. We will continue to do the same now.”

The property group, which had a strong start to 2020, has seen the impact of COVID-19 across all ten business divisions.

Watts said “From residential sales and lettings through to block and portfolio management, the impact of this pandemic is wide reaching. We are in regular contact with our customers and clients to assure them we are doing everything in our remit to deliver on our commitments while adhereing to government guidelines.”

Due to the current restrictions on the property industry, KFH advised a portion of their workforce, across all divisions, that they will be furloughed for the initial period of April. The company is topping up the government’s Job Retention Scheme to ensure all staff receive 100% of their salary and any applicable commission during this time.

Watts states “We made this decision in order to safeguard jobs and the company’s future. Job security is at the forefront of our planning, and we will do everything in our power to keep our workforce intact, enabling the company to be in the strongest possible position when normality returns.”

Watts continues: “We have a very unique and amazing culture here at KFH and I am immensely proud of the commitment our people have shown to the business, our clients and customers during this challenging time.”
