KFH at Buckingham Palace to celebrate 130 years of London Youth

To mark the 130th anniversary of London Youth, KFH’s charity partner, we were thrilled to join HRH The Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the charity’s momentous milestone.
On Wednesday 31st of May, the Buckingham Palace Gardens were transformed into a youth club for the afternoon. Over 250 people attended the event including London Youth supporters and youth workers, as well as young people from more than 30 community and youth organisations across London.
Guests were able to take part in a host of activities, from tennis and rock climbing to catapult-making. While on a tour of the Palace Garden, Prince Philip was able to view several outdoor activities and creative projects, including an art wall portraying the things that inspire young people in London.
The day marked another very special milestone: 70 years of patronage from HRH The Duke of Edinburgh – one of his longest standing patronages.
Julian Peak, Sales Director, said: “130 years is an amazing milestone and it has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of such an important year. We share many of London Youth’s values so they made a natural fit as a charity partner, but it’s been fantastic for our network of 60 branches and offices to support specific youth clubs across the Capital. So far this year we’ve raised nearly £13,000 for London Youth with a target of £60,000 by the end of December.”
Julian Peak was joined at the palace by KFH's top fundraisers for London Youth so far this year, Emma Munday, Conveyancing Manager, and Daniel Montaque, Sales Manager at KFH London Bridge.
