Homebuyer's report
When buying a London flat or house you will need a surveyor to carry out a homebuyer’s survey and valuation report. We will carry out this kind of investigation when the house of flat you are buying is of good condition and there are no major or obvious issues. A homebuyer’s report is more thorough than a mortgage valuation but is a good value method of discovering a property’s condition and its value.
Our surveyor will have a look at all reasonably accessible areas of the building and provide:
- An opinion of the property's general condition, current market value and future sale prospects
- Identification of any items or issues which require attention and/or may affect the value now or in the future
- A list of matters with probable/possible legal implications which should be referred to your solicitor/conveyancer
- Advice on maintenance and safety issues
- Details of matters to be investigated further or acted upon prior to legal commitment to purchase
Is a homebuyer’s report right for me?
If the London flat or house you’re buying looks in reasonable condition and isn’t particularly old or run down then a homebuyer’s report is the right survey for you.
